Elite Transfer Portal Wide Receiver is set to visit Auburn
More wide receivers are needed by the Auburn Tigers.
One of the best wide receivers in the transfer portal has scheduled a visit with the Auburn Tigers.
Hugh Freeze stated in his press conference following the A-Day game that the defensive line and wide receiver were the two positions where they needed extra assistance, and we are seeing some action early in the transfer portal window.
Multiple reports state that Auburn will host Penn State wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith for an official visit from Thursday through Saturday. He is still eligible for one more year. He had 53 receptions for 673 yards in 2023. Using the air, he scored four touchdowns.
After his visit to The Plains is over, he will go to Texas A&M on Saturday and Sunday, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. It will be his first trip to Auburn since he signed up for the transfer portal.
The wide receiver room at Auburn already seems different from what it did last season. Cam Coleman, a true freshman, gives the Tigers an offensive element they haven’t had in a number of years. Sam Jackson and Robert Lewis’ acquisitions through the transfer channel have also given Auburn’s pass catchers a more explosive appearance than they had a year ago. In addition, based on what we saw at A-Day and during the spring, experienced wide receiver Camden Brown appears to have advanced as a player.
The Auburn Tigers would be thrilled to have another component in their passing game, which would compel opponents to concentrate on a different facet of Auburn’s offensive capabilities. That could certainly be accomplished by the possible addition of a player like Lambert-Smith.
