Former Auburn OL to enter transfer portal after stepping away from football in 2023
After spending the 2023 season away from football, former Auburn offensive lineman Garner Langlo is looking to make a return to the sport.
However, Langlo won’t be making that return with the Tigers as On3 Sports’ Pete Nakos reported the former Tiger has entered his name into the transfer portal.
Langlo’s decision to transfer comes after he reportedly separated from the team in mid-August of 2023. That same week, Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze said Langlo had decided to step away from football.
Prior to his departure, Langlo, who was a redshirt sophomore at the time, spent fall camp getting second-team reps at the left tackle spot.
A former 3-star offensive lineman prospect out of Trinity Catholic High School in Ocala, Fla., Langlo will look to transfer having never played a snap for the Tigers.
During his recruitment, Langlo also hauled in offers from the likes of Baylor, Duke, Florida State, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, UCF and others as a member of the class of 2021.
