Peachtree City (Ga.) McIntosh class of 2025 three-star tight end Hollis Davidson decommitted from Auburn Monday evening. After initially pledging to the Tigers back on February 6, the 6-5, 238-pounder decided to reopen his process and take a step back.

“I would like to thank Auburn University and the entire coaching staff, especially Coach Freeze and Coach Aigamaua, for giving me the opportunity play football at the next level,” wrote Davidson on Twitter Monday night. “However, after much prayer and many conversations, my family and I feel it was too early to have a commitment set in stone. Therefore, I have decided to decommit from Auburn University and reopen my recruitment. Again, I can’t think Auburn enough for the opportunity. Please respect my decision.”
