Texas athlete ready to visit Arkansas
The University of Arkansas is expected to host more than 10 prospects, including a speedy receiver who will be making his first trip to Fayetteville thanks to his relationship with receivers coach Ronnie Fouch.
Fouch’s communication with consensus 4-star recruit Kelshaun Johnson — along with his visit to his school during the spring evaluation period, earned the Hogs an official visit.
“He talked to me about football and where he’s been,” Johnson said. “I just really want to go and see what he’s all about.”
Johnson, 5-11, 160 pounds, of Hitchcock, Texas, has accumulated scholarship offers from Arkansas, Texas, Texas A&M, Southern Cal, Florida, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Auburn, Penn State, Oregon, TCU and others.
He said Fouch has educated him about the Arkansas offense, but he wants a more in-depth look during his visit.
