Castore have been replaced by Adidas as Newcastle United’s official kit partner.

Newcastle United have issued a public message thanking Castore after bringing an end to their three years as official kit partner.

The multi-year agreement the Magpies signed with Castore in 2021 was one of the final deals sanctioned by former owner Mike Ashley before selling the club to the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia-led consortium.

Castore’s deal was reportedly worth £5million-per-season, a figure not big enough for Newcastle and their new ambitions. Both parties agreed on an early termination last year in order to facilitate Adidas’ iconic return from the 2024-25 campaign.

The first Newcastle home shirt designed by Adidas for 14 years ago goes on sale at 8am (June 7) this morning with excitement levels already through the roof. Amidst the excitement, United have the taken opportunity thank Castore as they officially step aside.

“Newcastle United wish to express sincere gratitude to Castore,” a message on their new-look club website read.

“Over the past three seasons, Castore has been a key partner during a resurgent chapter for Newcastle United. The sportswear brand has contributed to the trajectory of the club by providing quality clothing products, for both the men’s and women’s teams, along with our academy squads, and of course our supporters.
