Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers is feeling confident ahead of his first season in the SEC.

Perhaps a bit too confident.

According to On3, Ewers made a bold comment about his Texas team at the Manning Passing Academy on Friday.

“We’re going to be everybody’s biggest game, for sure,” Ewers said of the SEC conference.

“It’s definitely a different level. I’ve always wanted to play in the SEC. I know we’re all excited to be a part of a conference like that,” Ewers added

“Football definitely means a lot for that conference. We’re going into it full speed.”

And Ewers is getting cooked by SEC fans on social media for this prediction.

“You’re not Bama lil bro,” one X user wait in response to an X post of Ewers’ initial quote.

“Oh buddy…I’m not sure the Longhorns are quite ready for what they’re about to experience in the fall,” wrote another.

A third fan who appeared to be a Michigan supporter added, “I mean .. they are considered a preseason national title contender I wouldn’t say ‘biggest’, but they are circled on everyone’s schedule.”

Time will tell whether Ewers’ bold take rings true.
