Arkansas basketball extended a scholarship offer to a top 25 player in the 2025 class on Friday evening. Four-star shooting guard Braylon Mullins, the No. 23 player in the cycle, posted on X (formerly Twitter) that he received a scholarship offer from John Calipari and the Hogs.

Mullins is currently playing for the powerhouse Indiana Elite team in the adidas 3SSB Palmetto Road Championship in South Carolina. Calipari was one of many top coaches in attendance to watch the 6-5, 180-pound guard score 22 points on 6 of 11 shooting from 3-point land in a win on Friday afternoon.

The Greenville (Ind.) native had one of the more quiet recruitments entering the summe but was one of the biggest risers in the latest 247Sports recruiting update. Of late, his recruitment has taken off and he’s gotten interest from many top programs.

Currently, the states most participating are Connecticut, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Travis Branham, a national basketball analyst for 247Sports, reports that Mullins has visits planned to all of those schools well into October. It is anticipated that after his summer play, which most likely involves Arkansas presently, he will make an official list cut.

This week is one of the more busy weeks for Calipari and the Razorbacks this summer. On Wednesday night, the new Hog head coach made it out to Las Vegas to watch some of his former players in the Team USA/Canada Showcase before making rounds on the recruiting trail to the three major grassroots events.

The first of three live evaluation periods for coaches in the month of July began on Thursday morning, and Calipari attended the Puma Pro16 tournament in Phoenix. With Calipari attending the Adidas 3SSB in Rock Hill (S.C.), it’s likely he and the Razorback coaching staff will be observing the Nike EYBL Peach Jam in North Augusta (S.C.) on Saturday and Sunday.

Over the next few weeks, as grassroots action winds down, most of the top recruits in the 2025 class will begin to narrow down recruitment lists and start nailing down official visit dates. Expect plenty of movement involving the Razorbacks in both of those areas.
