Breaking News: Another Top Leeds Player Set To Depart From Team As A £15m Deal Has Been Reached And He Is Set For Medicals.

Leeds United’s summer sale is about to write another chapter as Fabrizio Romano reports another Elland Road player is about to leave and join a European club, imminently.

Already this summer, Leeds have agreed six permanent sales. Four players have left on loan, while many others have seen their contracts expire including the likes of Liam Cooper, Ian Poveda and Cody Drameh.

Archie Gray headlines the six sales after his £40m move to Tottenham, while Glen Kamara has swapped Yorkshire for France. The 59-time Finland international has joined Ligue 1 side Rennes on a four-year deal.

Kris Klaesson, Diego Llorente, Marc Roca and Charlie Cresswell have also been sold. Jack Harrison, Sonny Perkins, Sam Greenwood and Darko Gyabi have gone on loan, the latter to Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth.

Romano reports Leeds man due to reunite with Robin Koch

Leeds have now sorted out the future of six of Victor Orta’s loan army. Two of the eight-strong group remain, namely Max Wober and Rasmus Kristensen with both in Germany this summer at Euro 2024.

But for Kristensen, that may not be true much longer. The 27-year-old is closing in on a move back to Germany and to join Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, where he will reunite with defender Robin Koch.

Reports said that the Leeds man is more likely to go on loan as Frankfurt are unwilling to meet demands. Now, Romano says a deal is ‘imminent’, initially joining Frankfurt on loan with the option of a £15m buy.

Quoting his own exclusive story, Romano posted on X that Kristensen is set to go: “Eintracht Frankfurt are set to sign Rasmus Kristensen, exclusive story confirmed. Deal imminent.”

In a second post, Romano writes: “More details on Rasmus Kristensen to Eintracht Frankfurt. Deal done on season-long loan with option to buy clause included.

“Value of buy option clause is £15m. Medical tests tomorrow, exclusive story confirmed. Here we go.”

Rasmus Kristensen set for Frankfurt after rejecting league winners

The Denmark star struggled at Leeds in his first season at the club after his move from Salzburg, before a loan to Roma which saw the right-back fail to meet the hype, excluded from the Europa League squad.

His move to Frankfurt though, comes after interest from his former club FC Midtjylland. The Danish side tried to lure him back and Kristensen was spotted meeting with his boyhood side’s director of football.

But Kristensen has turned Midtjylland down, apparently stating it is too soon to go to Midtjylland at this stage in his career. A medical will be done tomorrow, with the option of £15m included in the loan.
