Clemson continued its stellar work on the football recruiting trail Friday, gaining a commitment from a sought-after player in Logan Anderson.

The 6-2, 220-pound running back and linebacker from Fyffe High in Alabama chose Clemson over several schools, including Auburn, Georgia, and Ole Miss. He announced his pledge via social media while on a weekend visit to campus.

The Tigers entered Anderson’s recruitment when they offered him on June 4, after he competed at Clemson football camp. Defensive coordinator Wes Goodwin was Anderson’s primary recruiter.

Anderson is a talented two-way player who also stars in the offensive backfield for the Red Devils. He led Fyffe High to a 14-1 record as a junior, including a second consecutive Alabama Class AA title. That season, he rushed for a school record of 2,864 yards and 45 touchdowns.

In the title game, Anderson set a championship-game record with 256 yards on the ground and four touchdowns. He also added six tackles from his natural position on defense. Anderson is expected to utilize his defensive skills with the Tigers.

In 2022 and 2023, the Alabama Sports Writers Association named the rising senior to its all-state football first team.

Anderson is the 15th commitment for Clemson’s 2025 class and the first linebacker in the class.
