LSU football gets a commitment from a New Orleans offensive lineman in 2026 class
LSU football picked up a commitment Sunday from a New Orleans interior offensive lineman.
Warren Easton’s Jalan Chapman, a three-star prospect, revealed that he has chosen the Tigers, becoming the third recruit committed to LSU’s 2026 signing class.
According to 247Sports composite rankings, Chapman is a top-400 national prospect and one of Louisiana’s 12 best rising juniors. He told On3 that LSU running backs coach Frank Wilson and offensive line coach Brad Davis spearheaded his recruitment.
The two other players committed to LSU’s 2026 class are also from New Orleans. Edna Karr defensive lineman Richard Anderson, a four-star, and McDonough 35 safety Jakai Anderson, a three-star, each pledged in June.
LSU’s 2025 recruiting class ranks fourth in the country, according to 247Sports. It jumped up the rankings after recent commitments from Florida five-star corner DJ Pickett and Nevada four-star receiver Derek Meadows.
