Charles Kelly is keeping the Fegans connection alive. After recruiting Tre’Quon Fegans to Alabama and adding Antwon Fegans to Auburn as a preferred walk-on, Kelly has landed Anquon Fegans, their younger brother, as part of his 2025 class at Auburn. From Thompson (Ala.), Anquon is the No. 44 player, No. 3 safety and No. 2 player from Alabama in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. 247Sports ranks Fegans as the No. 98 player and No. 9 safety in the country. He’s listed at 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds.

“It feels good,” Fegans told Auburn Undercover. “There couldn’t have been any better time to do it. It’s just what Coach Freeze is building. Just how special that place can be.”

Fegans has long been an Auburn target, even when he committed to USC after his older brother transferred to play for the Trojans. With the arrival of Hugh Freeze, a decommitment from USC and the addition of Kelly to the staff only ramped things up over recent months.

“That has made such an impact,” Fegans said. “Coach Kelly has been knowing me since I was in the 8th grade. He coached my brother and now he coaches my other brother. That plays a big part in it.”

Holding offers from just about every top school in the country, Fegans joins Auburn’s 2025 class that continues to grow on the heels of Big Cat Weekend. On Saturday, Auburn landed a commitment from Top247 cornerback Blake Woodby and flipped Top247 defensive lineman Antonio Coleman from Alabama. Sunday it was punter and Thompson teammate John Alan McGuire.

Monday morning it was a flip of Alabama athlete commit Derick Smith. Now it’s Fegans who joins the class as commitment No. 21, which ranks No. 5 in the country in the 247Sports team recruiting rankings. The run continues with Fegans, but he’s now working to make sure it doesn’t stop with him.

“It’s special because now you can recruit the younger guys,” Fegans said. “You can recruit for your program and continue to make your program good.”

Now Fegans turns his attention to his senior year and future as a Tiger.

“Things are headed in the right direction,” Fegans said. “This year will give everybody a taste of what we’re going to do in the future. “War Damn Eagle!!”
