The recruiting enthusiasm for the Auburn football program has exploded after Big Cat Weekend on the Plains. It’s beginning to resemble Big Cat Week as three recruits from the class of 2026 committed on Saturday, and the 2025 commits keep coming in.

The Tigers’ coaching staff is going full speed ahead as they try to assemble a strong recruiting class of 2025, and Sam Turner, a 3-star wide receiver, might be one of the next pieces to fall into place. Turner, a native of Decatur, Georgia, is the #52 overall recruit out of Peach State and is rated as the #75 wide receiver in the class of 2025.

Early in June, he committed to Georgia Tech; before the end of the month, he had received an offer from Auburn football. He has been relentlessly recruited by the Tigers ever since, especially under wide receivers coach Marcus Davis, and he traveled to the Plains for Big Cat Weekend.

The wide receiver had a great weekend, according to Auburn Rivals, and he left Auburn’s campus with a lot to consider:

Turner stated, “It’s not the next four years, it’s the next forty.” “Well, that’s a big choice.”

Prior to his offer from Auburn football, Turner officially visited Georgia Tech and BYU, though it’s likely safe to say that if the wide receiver does not stick to his Yellow Jackets pledge Auburn is the choice.

Turner hopes to make a final decision and officially shut down his recruitment ahead of his senior season this fall, so it should not be long before we get an answer about where Turner will play college ball. For now, we are officially placing Georgia Tech wide receiver commit Sam Turner on flip watch.
