Anthony Kennedy Jr., Maumelle, Defensive Line

Maumelle 4-star junior defensive lineman Anthony Kennedy Jr. has more than 20 scholarship offers but the University of Arkansas looks to be in the running for the long haul.

Michigan became his 21st offer on Tuesday to go along with others from Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, Texas, Southern Cal, Missouri, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Florida, Kansas State, TCU and others.

“They’re definitely in my top five,” Kennedy said of the Razorbacks. “Since I was younger, I always wanted to play at Arkansas.”

He said he grew up being fond of former Razorbacks Darren McFadden and Ryan Mallett.

Kennedy, 6-6 and 280 pounds, played at Little Rock Southwest as a sophomore prior to transferring to Maumelle during the second semester. He received his offer from the Hogs on Jan.
