Hamilton Tiger-Cats hire Rich Massaro as player personnel consultant
Rich Massaro has joined the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as a player personnel consultant, he revealed on social media on Monday.
The native of Buffalo, N.Y. left the Tiger-Cats following the 2021 season to become the director of player personnel and pro liaison at the University at Buffalo. The Bulls went 10-15 over that timespan, posting a conference record of 8-8.
Massaro initially joined the Tiger-Cats as a U.S. scout in 2016 and worked his way up to the role of assistant director of player personnel and football operations by the end of his term in Steeltown.
This marks the latest of several in-season changes for Hamilton under head coach Scott Milanovich. Previous ones have seen Dennis McKnight take over from Paul Boudreau as special teams coordinator and Chris Jones replace Mark Washington as defensive coordinator.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2-9) will host the Toronto Argonauts (6-4) on Monday, Sept. 2 with kickoff slated for 2:30 p.m. EDT.
