Legendary rock band Talking Heads have officially announced an epic comeback with a highly anticipated 2025 world tour and a brand new album, sending waves of excitement through fans old and new. Known for their groundbreaking blend of punk, art rock, funk, and new wave, Talking Heads are set to return to the stage for the first time in decades—reviving the magic that made them one of the most iconic bands of the late 20th century.
The tour, titled Once in a Lifetime: The Reunion Tour, will kick off in New York City in March 2025, followed by stops across North America, Europe, and select cities in Asia and Australia. Fans can expect unforgettable live performances featuring classic hits like “Psycho Killer,” “This Must Be the Place,” and “Burning Down the House.” The tour promises a visually stunning production that matches the band’s avant-garde legacy.
In addition to the tour announcement, Talking Heads confirmed the release of their new studio album Electric Ghosts, which will drop on April 18, 2025. This marks the group’s first full-length studio album since 1988’s Naked. The band, which includes David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison, reportedly reunited in 2023 to begin writing and recording new material in secret, surprising even their most devoted fans with the unexpected announcement.
Early reports suggest the album blends their signature rhythmic innovation with modern electronic influences, aiming to captivate both longtime followers and a new generation of listeners. A lead single, expected in January 2025, will give fans a first taste of the group’s evolved sound.
With both the tour and album release on the horizon, 2025 is shaping up to be the year of Talking Heads. Fans are urged to stay tuned for presale ticket dates and additional tour locations, as demand is expected to beenormous.
