Europe Band Announces Lost Album Release In 2026 Reviving Rock History…

In a surprise announcement that’s sent a wave of excitement through the rock music world, Swedish rock giants Europe have confirmed the release of a long-lost album set to debut in 2026. The album, long considered a hidden chapter of the band’s storied past, will feature previously unreleased tracks from their early days—material that never made it to their official discography until now.

Tentatively titled Echoes from the Past, the album consists of recordings from the late 1980s and early 1990s, an era that saw Europe at the peak of their popularity following the massive success of “The Final Countdown.” These tracks were originally shelved due to lineup changes and shifting musical directions, but have recently been rediscovered and restored by the band.

Lead vocalist Joey Tempest spoke with passion about the project, calling it “a time machine of sound and feeling.” He added, “We’ve always wanted to revisit these recordings. They represent a raw, emotional, and very creative time for us. Now felt like the right moment to bring them to life and share them with the world.”

The band has enlisted acclaimed producer Klas Åhlund to help polish and modernize the tracks without compromising their vintage essence. Stefan Glaumann, known for his crisp and powerful mixing style, is also onboard to ensure the final product maintains a high level of sonic quality.

While Europe has continued to release new music in recent years, this lost album promises to reconnect fans with the band’s classic era—complete with soaring vocals, thunderous riffs, and introspective lyrics that define the heart of their legacy.

The 2026 release of Echoes from the Past is more than just a new album—it’s a bridge between the band’s legacy and its future. Fans and collectors alike are already counting down the days until this hidden treasure finally sees

the light.
